A new lounge throw with a mix & match pattern

Here comes my new snuggle up throw! In this throw I mixed a variety of patterns: the left side border uses 'moss stitch' which beautifully frames a '9-stitch plait' that runs down the left hand side of the throw; the rest of the throw repeats the multiple rows of  the 'stocking stitch ridge' and the plain 'stocking stitch' interrupted with the 'giant bobbles.

Giant cable lounge room throw

This hand kitted loungeroom throw is done in giant cables using 20mm knitting needles. It is very heavy, as all of my giant knit throws; this one weighs 3.6 kg. When spread out, the pattern really stands out and as such it makes it into a gorgeous addition to any loungeroom or bedroom. I choose to make my throws using 100% acrylic which is very easy to maintain. The throws can be easily washed without having to worry whether the throw will lose its shape or shrink in size.

I am currently away from hot and sunny Australia, enjoying snow white, idyllic Banja Luka, spending some good quality time with my dear Mum & Dad. I am very much enjoying the snow... haven't seen it nor walked in it for 9 years... so it is a real thrill to be here...

What can be a better treat in the winter cold days, but a hot cup of tea with some honey and lemon! I made this cozy for my dear Mum & Dad and we had our inaugural pot of tea yesterday. In the spirit of this special occasion, we decided to go for a special flavor, an 'apple & cinnamon' tea. If you add some 'fresh high mountain herbs' honey accompanied with some freshly cut lemon, you have yourself a delicious treat indeed...
